2021 SCAVENGER HUNT SWEEPSTAKES
OFFICIAL RULES
VenuesNow Conference in-person attendees are invited to participate in the 2021 VenuesNow Conference Scavenger Hunt (the “Giveaway”), subject to these Official Rules. Participants (“Participant” or “you”) will enter for the chance to win:
First Prize: One (1) VenuesNow Conference 2022 Registration (approximate retail value of $800.00 USD).
Second Prize: One (1) Seattle Kraken hockey jersey (approximate retail value of $150.00 USD).
Third Prize: One (1) gift card to a Seattle-area restaurant (approximate retail value of $150.00 USD).
WHEN IS THIS HAPPENING?
The Conference Scavenger Hunt Giveaway commences on October 20, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. PDT and ends October 22, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. PDT (the “Giveaway Period”). Entries received after October 22, 2021 will not be considered.
HOW TO ENTER
The VenuesNow Conference Scavenger Hunt challenges you to look for four (4) signs located within the VenuesNow Conference venue (each, a “Checkpoint Location”) that will each include a QR code that will direct you to the social media platform referenced in such task.

There are two ways to enter:
Simply scan the QR code found on the sign at each Checkpoint location. The sign at each Checkpoint Location will direct you to one of the four VenuesNow social media platforms in the Giveaway Scavenger Hunt tasks list above and you will be prompted to “follow” each such account. The final task to be eligible for a Prize is to post an Instagram Story and tag “@VenuesNow” and “@Climate Pledge Arena”. Participants must be “following” all VenuesNow social channels included at such Checkpoints as of the time of the Drawing (defined below) in order to remain eligible.
Write-in Entry: You may enter at the VenuesNow Conference registration desk located at Hyatt Regency Seattle on October 20, 2021, from 4:30 – 6:30 p.m. PDT and also Fisher Pavilion on October 21, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. PDT. by submitting your first name, last name, employer (optional), complete address, city, state, zip code, home phone number (including area code), and email address.
By participating in this Giveaway, you certify that you are at least 21 years old and a resident of the continental United States, and you agree to the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules. Void in Florida, New York and Rhode Island. Your eligibility for this Giveaway is contingent upon these certifications. No purchase or payment is necessary to obtain the QR codes; void where prohibited. The following OVG Media and Conferences, LLC (“OVGMC”)-affiliated and Seattle Hockey Partners LLC-affiliated individuals are not eligible for this Giveaway: employees and their family members, independent contractors, and consultants.
PRIZE
The winners (the “Winners”) will be randomly selected from among the eligible entries to win and will be awarded one of the three prizes (collectively, the “Prizes”). The First Prize Winner will be selected first and will be ineligible for the Second and Third Prizes, and the Second Prize Winner will be selected second and will be ineligible for the Third Prize.
Odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. The Winner may not substitute a cash award in lieu of the Prize. The Winner is solely responsible for paying any applicable local, state, or federal taxes related to this Giveaway, as well as any costs and expenses associated with any Prize. Limit one entry per individual. OVGMC make no warranty or guarantee regarding the Prize, express or implied, and the Prize is awarded on an “as-is” basis. By participating in this promotion and accepting any Prize, each participant agrees to abide by all applicable laws as well as all policies in force at OVGMC and/or Seattle Center. OVGMC reserves the right to substitute any Prize for a prize of equal or greater value if the original Prize cannot be honored for any reason. OVGMC further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to refuse to honor any Prize if too few entries are received or if the participant claiming it is deemed ineligible, unruly, disruptive, uncooperative, fails to comply with any policies of OVGMC and/or Seattle Center, or may or does cause damage to any person, property, or the reputation of OVGMC and/or Seattle Center. The Prize, including any additional restrictions, is at OVGMC’s discretion.
HOW TO WIN
After the Giveaway Period ends, OVGMC will randomly select three Winners by random digitization software (the “Drawing”). Winners will be notified by email at the email address provided by such Winner by November 1, 2021. Participants do not need to be present to win; however, Winners must respond to notice from OVGMC by 5:00pm PST on November 8, 2021 in order to claim the Prizes, or the Winners will forfeit any right to or claim on the Prize. In the event OVGMC does not receive written notice from the Winners by 5:00pm PST on November 8, 2021, another Winner may be selected by and notified by November 9, 2021 in the same manner described above, and will be provided with a similar time frame to respond in which to respond to claim the Prize.
Any Prize that is obtained in contravention of these rules or the local, state, or federal law will be deemed void and will not be honored. Prizes may not be sold or transferred. OVMGC will determine in its sole discretion whether any Prize has been improperly obtained, presented, or transferred.
USE OF CONTEST SUBMISSIONS
By submitting a Giveaway submission, you hereby grant to OVGMC a nonexclusive license to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, create derivative works based upon, or otherwise exploit the Giveaway submission in any manner or media now known or hereafter devised throughout the world in perpetuity for advertising, promotional and other purposes, without further compensation, notification or permission. You agree that Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for any unauthorized use of Giveaway submissions by third parties. OVGMC has no obligation to make use of the rights granted herein.
GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, incomplete, inaccurate, stolen, delayed, misdirected, undelivered or garbled Giveaway submissions; or for lost, interrupted or unavailable network, server, Internet Service Provider (ISP), website, or other connections, availability or accessibility or miscommunications or failed computer, satellite, telephone or cable transmissions, lines, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or other errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical, printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the Giveaway, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur in connection with the administration of the Giveaway, the processing or judging of Giveaway submissions, the announcement of the Prize(s), or in any Giveaway-related materials. Released Parties are also not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by site users, tampering, hacking, or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway. Released Parties are not responsible for injury or damage to participants’ or to any other person’s computer or other device related to or resulting from participating in this Giveaway or downloading materials from or use of the website or any application. OVGMC reserves the right to cancel or modify the Giveaway if fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond OVGMC’s reasonable control impairs the integrity of the Giveaway, as determined by OVGMC in its sole discretion. In such event, OVGMC reserves the right to award the Prize(s) using the winner determination procedure set forth above from among the non-suspect, eligible Giveaway submissions received up to the time of the impairment. OVGMC reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual they find to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules, or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner and void all associated Giveaway submissions. Any attempt by any person to deliberately damage any website or application or undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway is a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, OVGMC reserves the right to seek damages and other remedies (including, without limitation, attorney’s fees) from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. OVGMC’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In the event of a dispute regarding Giveaway submissions received from multiple users having the same e-mail or social media account, the authorized subscriber of the e-mail or social media account at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these rules. Authorized account subscriber is the natural person who is assigned the e-mail address by the Internet Service Provider (ISP), on-line service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses.
PUBLICITY
Except where prohibited, participation in the Giveaway constitutes each Winners’ consent to OVGMC and its parent, subsidiary and affiliated companies and their designees to use his/her name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, biographical information, hometown and state for advertising and promotional purposes, in any manner, in any and all media now or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without further payment or consideration, notification or permission.
REPRESENTATIONS AND INDEMNIFICATION AND RELEASE OF LIABILITY
By participating, you hereby represent and warrant that you have read these Official Rules, are fully familiar with their contents, and agree to abide thereby. Each Winner shall be responsible and liable for the actions of any individual that partakes of their Prize, including any third party to whom the Prize is gifted, sold or transferred. By entering this Giveaway, you agree to release and hold harmless OVG Media & Conferences, LLC, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, shareholders, agents, employees and all others associated with the development and execution of this Giveaway (collectively, “Released Parties”) from and against any losses, damages, rights, claim or cause of action of any kind arising, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, out of participation in the Giveaway or resulting directly or indirectly, from acceptance, possession, use, or misuse of any Prize awarded in connection with the Giveaway, including without limitation personal injury, death, and/or property damage, as well as claims based on publicity rights, defamation, and/or invasion of privacy. In the event OVGMC is unable to continue the Giveaway or to honor any Prize due to any event beyond its control, including but not limited to technological errors, fire, flood, natural or man-made epidemic of health or other means, earthquake, explosion, labor dispute or strike, act of God or public enemy, satellite or equipment failure, riot or civil unrest, terrorist threat or act, war (declared or undeclared), or any local, state, or federal law, order, or regulation, then subject to any governmental approval that may be required, SAC reserves the right to modify, suspend, extend or terminate the Giveaway and rules.
DATA PRIVACY
Private or personally-identifying information collected in connection with this Giveaway may be retained by OVGMC, sold, shared with business partners, or used for marketing purposes. By participating in the Giveaway, you consent to OVGMC’s collection and use of your personal information as described in our privacy notice available here: https://venuesnow.com/privacy-policy/.
DISPUTES
This Giveaway and these rules are governed by the laws of United States and the State of Washington. As a condition of participating in the Giveaway, Participants agree that any and all disputes that cannot be resolved between the parties, and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Giveaway, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, by final and binding arbitration administered by JAMS and conducted in Seattle, Washington before a sole arbitrator in accordance with the rules of JAMS.
